I'm starting to notice that on Xanga, there are a lot of women who are talking about sex. These days, they will take on anything from sexual education, feleings their fetishes and all. And they wind up, also, beinbg the columnists to help whomever talks about sex.
Now, I didn't really care for that and thought it was healthy to talk about sex and love, but I thought it was kind of peculiar that men aren't stepping up to that. Not even us men. If men are so sexual, why arenb't we talking about it like women? Why aren't we sharing something?
I, being the curious one I am, started the exploration with SerenaDante. I talked to her about the idea of after-breakup sexuality. I was skeptical about writing it, because I had (and still have) more women readers as friends, then I do male friends. And some of them were skeptical as to see me with a wet chest, than to have to read something about sex.
Instead, I went so far as to take it into my own hands, because I like sex, too, and I'm curious about it, too. Plus, I saw more women talking about it, then I saw men. Ever since then, I started writing more and more, because I think of sex enough to talk about it plenty. I talked about angry sex, about the awkwardness of looking at a friend's penis compared to a blogger, and even dirty talk.
Face it. I like to see women stepping up, but guys, where is your interest in talking sex? Am I going to be the only one writing on it?

It's interesting you bring this up, because a couple of days ago I started a new blog just for this reason. The discussion of sexuality and male sexuality. roxicsunderground.xanga.com
I think it's important that guys talk about it. There is no reason we shouldn't. It seems the only thing we ever talk about when it comes to this stuff is reduced to mancouch levels. We need to up the intelligence level of it all.

I agree. I haven't read nearly as many good posts about sex written by men. suggestivetongue is my favorite sex writer here, but it'd be interesting to see a man's perspective more often. Maybe some are worried they'd be labeled as perverts or wouldn't be able to hold a female audience.
I think it's because when women talk about sex, we are empowered, since for so long female sexuality was mostly ignored. Sadly, men talking about sex are viewed as just being perverts. I don't agree with this view, however, and think it's wonderful for males as well as females to feel free to discuss sexuality. It's a beautiful thing.
@josiebunny - That's a double standadrd. If a man writes about it, he is though to of as a pervert. If a woman does it, she's seens as a slut. I say kill that noise. We are all sexual. why don't we all discuss, or ask about stuff we couldn't even tell our parents?
I agree.
I do:)
women just talk about everything more...
I like to read different viewpoints:D
@makethemakersmile - That's true;D
It is interesting that men are always thought to be the most sexual, but not many of the male bloggers here approach the topic.
see a certain amount of men only talk about it to brag. so when they do talk about sex some girls (un open minded ones) think that a guy is a slut if he talks about sex openly. I don't think that. However from what I've noticed those who talk mostly about sex are man whores...weirdly enough. I guess that's why that should be change. guys who are good guys should openly talk about sex..that's why i ask the shy ones about sex.
I don't mind discussing it. I normally don't do it on my own personal blog just because I'm a little worried about certain people reading about that stuff.
I think most of us dudes would be tempted to just straight up copy Tucker Max.
@democrab - I ought to see his movie and compare types.
